Live Telephone Bidding

Our unique Spotter Service makes bidding and buying at our auction as simple as possible.

Spotters are auction assistants who can talk you through the process of buying at auction, bid for you on the telephone if you can't attend the auction and are here to help you with every process of buying your next van or car at Merthyr Motor Auctions.

Spotters are available for the private buyer who may be nervous or newbies to auction and the business user who's looking to add to their fleet. A spotter is always available to help.

Telephone Bidding

Buyers who wan't that personal touch of bidding live on the telephone can arrange for a spotter to call them as the vehicles drive through the auction house. Buyers can hear the auction on the telephone and a spotter will relay the bidding as it happens for you to bid accordingly.

How to Telephone Bid.

First off, you need to register on our website. Then, view our auction lists to see what vehicles are coming up for auction. Once you have found a vehicle you want to telephone bid on, you need to submit a bid or enquiry for that vehicle.

A spotter will then call you back to book the telephone bidding service.

To telephone bid, follow these three steps.

1. Register...
2. Bid...
3. Buy...

It doesn't matter if you visit the auction to bid in person or register online to bid live. We are open to the business user and the private buyer.

1. Register. The first step is to register. Registration is simple and takes a matter of minutes. Once registered, you can view all the vehicles we have for auction including photos and mileages etc.
You then register for live bidding by paying a secure deposit online of £500 or by contacting a spotter who can take this deposit payment over the telephone.

2. Bid. Once the auction is live a spotter will call you as your desired vehicle(s) come into the auction house for sale.

3. Buy. A spotter will relay the live bidding to you and you bid as you like live on the telephone.
