Live Online Bidding

Our live online bidding service is the easiest way to buy at Merthyr Motor Auctions. You can bid online from anywhere in the world whether it be from the comfort of your own home, at work or on holiday; our live online bidding and spotter services at every auction makes bidding simple.

It doesn't matter if you visit the auction to bid in person or register online to bid live. We are open to the business user and the private buyer.

To bid online live at our next auction you need to follow these three steps.

1. Register. The first step is to register. Registration is simple and takes a matter of minutes. Once registered, you can view all the vehicles we have for auction including photos and mileages etc.
You then register for live bidding by paying a secure deposit online of £500.

2. Bid. Once the auction is open and live you can choose to hear the live auction via our website and bid on any vehicle you like. All the information is displayed on the live lot screen along with the winning bid details and next lot details.
A spotter is on hand at any moment to help by calling 01685 377818.

3. Buy. During the live auction, you get the options and buttons to bid on any lots. If you are the highest winning bidder of a lot, you are directed out of the live auction.

What happens if I win a lot?

• We will generate an invoice for this lot that will be emailed to you at the end of the auction. You must sign this invoice and send it back to us via email or fax.
  You pay the full amount detailed on the invoice and we will refund your deposit back to your card once payment is received in full.
• The easiest way to pay your balance is via transfer direct into our account. You can do this by walking into your bank and processing the transfer or if you have access to online banking, you can process the transfer online.
  You can also pay for this lot by cash or credit / debit card in person at the auction (we do not take card payments over the phone).
• Please Note: The balanace for this lot needs to be paid by 5:00pm the next working day. Failure to pay for this lot and you will lose your deposit as detailed in our Terms and Conditions of Sale apply.
• You then either collect the vehicle yourself or we can delivery nationally at cost within 48 hours. If you are exporting your new purchase, we can arrange shipping and documentation to any UK dock at cost.

What happens if I don't win a lot?

• Once the auction has finished, you can request a refund of your deposit or you can keep your deposit active for the next auction.
• If you request a refund, it will be processed as soon as possible but can take 2 - 3 working days to return to your card.
